TaylorMade Launches White SLDR Driver

TaylorMade Launches White SLDR Driver

If you’re a fan of the TaylorMade SLDR Driver, but had reservations about its dark, charcoal painted crown… your wait is over. TaylorMade has announced that they are launching the SLDR in white.

The move was no doubt in reaction to strong customer demand, seeing how TaylorMade pumped out many white woods (the R11, R11S, RBZ, R1, and RBZ stage 2). And while white ‘may’ be on the way out, the demand is still there.

We have a winner in our Cleveland Classic XL Custom Driver Contest!

It’s time to announce the winner in our Cleveland Classic XL Custom Driver Contest!

*drum roll please*… and the winner is…

Jason Youn! Below is Jason’s entry into the contest:

I haven’t played golf since I was a kid and trying to start again, using my father’s clubs. I’ve tried every other driver on the market and doesn’t do much to help with my wicked slice, but the Classic XL was the only one that fixed it! I’d love to show my buddies how this thing outperforms their overrated and overpriced drivers!

Congrats Jason! We will be in touch to get your shipping details and club specs… and Cleveland will ship the Classic XL Custom Driver direct to you as soon as possible!

A big thank you to the team @ClevelandGolf for sponsoring this contest… and to all that entered!

Stay tuned, more contests coming soon!

Phil Mickelson’s Phrankenwood: A Closer Look

Phil Mickelson's Phrankenwood

Ever since The Masters, the buzz around Phil Mickelson has been less and less about his game, and more and more about his equipment. One piece of equipment in particular… a 2-wood (yes, a 2-wood) that Phil has dubbed his ‘Phrankenwood’. Let’s take a closer look at the Phrankenwood and break down the details.

This proved to be inspiration, as he thought it would be great to implement the same technology into a 2-wood. The much smaller package would offer a flatter ball flight, greater control and a lower spin rate. To date, Phil is doing quite well with the club.

There’s no doubt about it. The Cleveland XL Custom Driver is one sharp looking driver. That is, if you appreciate classic design when it comes to golf clubs. The look top-down reminds one of the persimmon days… and again the view from the sole gives a similar perspective.
