The new Method ‘MOD’ putter lineup from Nike is promising to combine the most popular designs from the past four decades with the hottest putter tech and innovation of recent years. Basically, they’re promising to combine old-school with new-school with the MOD line.
Classic styling with today’s tech is probably the best way to sum them up.
David Franklin, Nike Golf Master Modelmaker commented on the new offerings:
“We were able to take a range of classic designs and make them perform like modern putters. We incorporated Polymetal Groove technology, which allows athletes to lift the ball, launch it and turn it forward as quickly as possible for a truer roll. We removed weight from the center, placing it in the heel and toe instead for a lower and deeper center of gravity. It’s Nike’s interpretation on classic, familiar shapes.”
Sounds awesome for sure, and I can’t wait to give them a roll.
The Method MOD line consists of the MOD 00 model (face-balanced), MOD 30 (pictured above, 30 degrees of toe hang), MOD 60 (60 degrees of toe hang) and the MOD 90 (90 degrees of toe hang).
Available from November 1st, 2013, look for the Method MOD Putters to retail for around $300.
