Martin Kaymer’s winning equipment from The Players Championship

The former world No. 1 got it done. Here's what he had in the bag.
Martin Kaymer's winning equipment from The Players Championship

Even mother nature couldn’t stand in his way. After waiting for a near 90-minute weather delay, Martin Kaymer came through when it counted most, and won the 2014 Players Championship by one shot over Jim Furyk.

The win is Kaymer’s second ever PGA Tour title. His first came at the 2010 PGA Championship, a title which set him on the path to world No. 1 status.

Even though the last few years have been rough for Kaymer, it looks like he is truly turning things around. His ranking is climbing, he’s playing great golf, and it looks like he has the attitude and focus of a top 10 player yet again.

As we do, let’s take a quick look at what Martin had in the bag to bring home victory:

Driver: 8.5 degree TaylorMade SLDR 460 with Graphite Design Tour AD DI-6X shaft
3 Wood: 14 degree TaylorMade SLDR with Graphite Design Tour AD DI-7X shaft
Hybrid: 17 degree TaylorMade SLDR with Graphite Design Tour AD DI-85X Hybrid shaft
Irons (3-PW): TaylorMade Tour Preferred MC with True Temper Dynamic Gold X100 Tour Issue shafts
Wedges: TaylorMade XFT TP (54 bent to 51, and 58) both with True Temper Dynamic Gold X100 Tour Issue shafts
Putter: Ping Karsten 1959 Anser 2
Golf Ball: TaylorMade Lethal

Well played Martin!
