The FedEx Cup Playoffs came to an end yesterday, with Henrik Stenson taking home the title at East Lake… but not only did he win the Tour Championship, the win secured his spot at FedEx Cup champion for 2013. A very impressive run indeed.
It can be argued that Stenson has played the best golf of anyone on tour for some time now. Straight as an arrow off the tee, finding massive amounts of greens in regulation… and when his putter gets hot, well… look out.
Still, in my mind, Stenson’s performance wasn’t the big story of the weekend. Not even Jordan Speith’s magnificent play (finishing in T2 with Steve Stricker), or Dustin Johnson’s rise from 30th place at the beginning of the week to a solid 5th place finish. No, the story of the weekend for me was Keegan Bradley on the par 4 7th hole on Sunday.
As seen in the video above, Keegan stole the show and had the presence of mind to lay down and strike a #Dufnering pose following a slam dunk eagle 2 on the tough par four. What made it even better, is that his good buddy Dufner was actually playing alongside him. No doubt they had a few chuckles… and in the end, this has to go down as one of the most hilarious eagles of all time.
Well done Keegan!
