Holly Sonders leaves Golf Channel for Fox

Holly Sonders leaves Golf Channel for Fox

One of our favorite Golf Channel personalities is leaving the company. Holly Sonders has reportedly left the channel July 10 after turning down a new contract offer. Such is business.

Sonders is expected to join the Fox Sports team, and will no doubt be a key part of their golf coverage as they ramp up production of USGA events for 2015. Holly is also rumored to be taking on some sideline reporting for Fox at NFL games.

Not sure if the departure was made on good terms or not (we certainly hope so), but all a Golf Channel spokesperson had to say about the news was: “We wish her the best in her future endeavors”.

They could be choked, upset, or simply do wish her all the best. All we know is we’re going to miss her commentary on the Golf Channel. The recent episodes of ‘Playing Lessons with the Pros’ hosted by Holly were tremendous as well.

Whatever the case, just like the Golf Channel, we wish Holly all the best in her future endeavors.
