We love it when golf companies do good things. And it warms my heart to think of all the fantastic charitable and non-profit initiatives the golf industry is responsible for.
Cleveland Golf has just announced a partnership with the Veteran Mental Health Foundation (VMHF). One of the main goals of the partnership is to establish and raise awareness of the Invisible Wounds Cure Challenge (IWCC). The primary purpose of the IWCC is to help generate funds for research to better diagnosis, treatment, and cures for veteran Post Traumatic Stress (PTS) and Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI).
The partnership will, in the end, benefit the over 500,000 U.S. combat veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Todd Harman, President of Cleveland Golf/Srixon commented on the partnership:
“We are honored to be one of the founding partners of the Invisible Wounds Cure Challenge… We are extremely proud to assist the Veteran Mental Health Foundation in their efforts to aid in the fight against veteran PTS, TBI, and depression in the years ahead.”
As the exclusive industry partner to the IWCC, Cleveland will provide products (balls, apparel, etc.) in special packaging that will be featured for sale in pro shops and retail stores across the U.S. A portion of the proceeds will go directly to the IWCC to help fund the fight against veteran PTS and TBI.
