Billy Horschel’s winning equipment from the BMW Championship

As you might have guessed, he's a PING man.
Billy Horschel's winning equipment from the BMW Championship

The fiery and supremely talented Billy Horschel got ‘er done this past weekend at the BMW Championship. His final score of -14 was two better than Bubba Watson (-12) and three better than Morgan Hoffmann.

The win was that much more impressive when you consider what happened to him the week before. Only 1 shot back on the 18th hole, and playing his second shot into a very reachable par 5, Billy chunked a 6-iron into the hazard, handing the Deutsche Bank title to Chris Kirk.

Clearly, Horschel doesn’t dwell on that kind of thing, a trait that is common in most professional golfers.

Below is what Billy had in the bag to bring home victory:

Driver: 9 degree (set to 10.5 degrees) Ping G30 with Aldila Rogue 60X shaft
3 Wood: 15 degree (set to 13.9 degrees) Ping G25 with Oban Kiyoshi Black 75-05 shaft
5 Wood: 18 degree (set to 17.6 degrees) Ping G25 with Oban Kiyoshi Black 75-05 shaft
Irons: Ping S55 (3, 5-PW) all with Ping Z-Z65 / Cushin shafts
Wedges: Ping Gorge (50, 56, 60) with True Temper Dynamic Gold S400 Tour Issue shafts
Putter: Ping TR B60
Ball: Titleist ProV1x + (2013)

Congratulations Billy!
