Cleveland Introduces the 588 Altitude Driver

The latest driver offering from Cleveland is the ‘588 Altitude’. The driver promises longer, higher and straighter drives (sounds good so far!).

There’s also precision weighting inside the head to help increase club head speed with the same amount of effort you’re used to. Same swing, more club head speed. Again, sounds good.

Nike Method Mod Putters: Photo Gallery

Earlier this week, Nike announced the new Method Mod putter line. The new models blend classic looks with the latest in technology. The usual Polymetal Groove tech you’ve seen in the Method lineup for sometime is still on-board, but the timeless styles put into play here should appeal to quite a wide range of golfers searching for a new flatstick.

Loudmouth ups the Christmas ante with new ‘Ho! Ho! Ho!’ pants

Loudmouth ups the Christmas ante with new 'Ho! Ho! Ho!' pants

A little early for the Christmas season? Yeah… but who cares. Loudmouth is wild and crazy, and the early announcement of their new Christmas-themed pants are if nothing else… hilarious.

The new design is available right now, but a word of caution… Loudmouth has mentioned these pants are available in very limited numbers. So, if you think you’d like to pick up a pair, I suggest you do so sooner rather than later.

The ‘Ho! Ho! Ho!’ pants are available now in black or white for $95. For all the details, head over to Loudmouth.

Nike Covert 2.0 Driver spotted in the wild

Nike Covert 2.0 Driver spotted in the wild

Looks like our friends at GolfWRX have spotted the Nike VRS Covert 2.0 driver at the Frys.com Open.

The Covert 2.0 has the same glossy red finish as its predecessor, with white swoosh tucked away in the corner of the crown. The cavity back appears much larger however, and you’ll notice this area is now painted black. The sole area surrounding the cavity appears to have a matte finish now, in contrast to the high gloss on the 1.0 model.

In terms of overall shape and look at address, the Covert 2.0 has a traditional pear-shaped crown, and looks to have a deeper face. I personally dig both of those changes, as I prefer a more ‘traditional’ look and feel at address.

I’m sure we’ll be hearing more about the Covert 2.0 (and tour model) as time marches on. Looks nice, and can’t wait to see how it actually feels and plays off the tee.
